Fleur de Lis Dresser

Hey sweet Friends! And I'm back...again!  Today's makeover is #29 on our list and it's a good one, ya'll! I found this one at an estate sale at this quaint little cottage about six houses from the ocean: I bought a few pieces at that sale, including this farmhouse hutch and this desk, all of which I've redone and sold long ago...all except one. I went back on Sunday when everything was marked down and picked up this yellow dresser for $25: The price was right and it was in … [Read more...]

Antique Cabinet Makeover {& an Alternative to Replacing the Glass Door Panel}

Do ya'll love chocolate as much as I do? There are few things I love more, but how about as a theme for a furniture makeover? Today my furniture flippin friends and I are all sharing furniture makeovers inspired by chocolate. Say what? A few weeks ago I spied an antique cabinet at the DAV thrift store near my house. It was $79 and probably totally worth that, but the door was missing the glass and didn't close real smoothly so I passed. I went back a week later and it was marked to $49! I … [Read more...]

It was really quite beat up when I found … [Read more...]

Simple Sewing Table Makeover

Hello hello, lovely friends! Hope your year is off to a great start so far! Up for a little furniture redo today? I spied this sewing table at one of my favorite thrift stores before the Holidays (when I was supposed to be grocery shopping): I love these as side tables because they are the perfect height. This one was marked around $36. I passed on it one, because I was absolutely out of room in my garage and two, because it just wasn't cheap enough to justify trying to make space for … [Read more...]

Empire Dresser Makeover

Hello lovely Friends and welcome to Themed Furniture Thursday!  This month's theme is storage, so what better project for this theme than a dresser, right? Can I please just tell you first how relieved I am that this dresser makeover is done?? This piece gave me SO MUCH trouble. You don't hear me say that very often, but let's face it, sometimes it's just good to hear that others struggle too, right?  I feel like I need to vent about my struggle with this troublemaker. This story does have a … [Read more...]

French Linen Shelf

Hello sweet Friends! I've got a quick little makeover for you today! I found this shelf at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago hiding in the toy section: Luckily I can spot a potential makeover a mile away! :) Blue tags were half off that day, so this cost me less than $2, and I liked the shape of it. I did check first to see if the Winnie the Pooh paper would come off easily and it was adhesive, so luckily it peeled right off... and became this: Ooh la la. Much … [Read more...]
