Hello, amazing friends! I’m back today with another brand new haul! Once again, I just do not know when to say when! I never feel like I have enough, and then I start pulling it all out.
Y’all, this might just be the biggest haul yet! It’s an insanely HUGE haul!
I’ve hit up yard sales, estate sales, and of course, thrift stores as well! I’ve really enjoyed yard saling the past couple of months. They usually have the best deals!
I started gathering this haul in August…you can accumulate quite the haul in just a couple of months:

Am I crazy or what?? I wasn’t quite ready to share it yet because I felt like I didn’t have as much furniture as I would have liked, but I do have several smaller pieces in there.
If I added them correctly, I believe I have 57 pieces in all!
Let’s see it all up close and find out what I paid for everything!
I’ll start with the first furniture pieces I found, these two chairs I got for an absolute steal at only $9.99 each at a thrift store near my mom’s house:

I had paid for one and was heading out when I decided that I just had to go back and get the other one for that price!
Although they have matching upholstery, they are not the same chairs, so I may redo them separately.
On that stop, I also found this box for 50% off of $6.99:

I usually have a ton of wooden boxes to share, but I only have two this time.
This is the other that was on clearance for $4.98 from $9.98, and y’all know I rarely pass up a flatware box, especially one with a drawer:

This bar stool was found with the other chairs, also for 9.99:

They don’t usually have a ton of furniture at that store, but it’s always pretty cheap!
And the last piece I found on that stop was this bed tray for only $2.99:

It was definitely worth stopping that day!
This next piece was $6.98 on another thrifting stop:

I redid my mom’s Longaberger basket HERE a while back that looked just like that. She had painted apples on the top of hers rather than those lovely geese.
On that same stop, I found this vintage picnic basket, also for $6.98:

I also found this cool piece that was a bit pricey at $14.96:

It’s difficult to tell, but it has a pedestal base. The cool part is that the lid opens to reveal this:

How pretty is that?
And the last piece I found that day was this little wooden tote for $2.98:

How about an estate sale?
I hit up an estate sale one Saturday that had everything 20% off.
I found a few pieces that were buried in the barn that were very dirty like this mirror that was 20% off $14:

It’s pretty large and very detailed.
And also this piece of furniture that was 20% off of $40:

Photos can be so deceiving…this one is musty!!
I’m pretty sure both this and the mirror are covered in mildew or mold:

Ew. And that piece is SO heavy!
I also found this metal teapot for only a dollar:

And I found this huge, awesome toolbox out there:

It and all of the contents inside were $10 less 20%. I left the junk inside behind.
Then, inside the house, I found a few more things for 20% off like this $6 box:

And this pretty box priced at only $2:

And finally, this set of bookends priced at $6:

They looked really pretty flanking a stack of books.
I also scored a bag of fabric at that sale for $4 that I didn’t include in this haul:

I was after that toile and there ended up being several yards of it in there…that was a huge score!
On the same day, I hit up a yard sale and got this little rocker for $5:

They were asking $8, and I thought that was reasonable. However, I only had a five and a twenty on me, and they had forgotten to get change for their sale, so I got it for $5!
Then I stopped by a church yard sale my in-laws were participating in and found this frame for $2 and a couple things for my house:

I happen to love this style of frame…they paint up so pretty!
Everything’s a Dollar!
Another yard sale morning, I came across a yard sale where everything was a dollar! I found this tall basket:

And this finial thingy, also for a dollar:

As well as this little mirror for a dollar:

This funky yellow basket:

As well as this cute tiny table, also only a dollar!

I bought some things that I might otherwise not have, but how can you go wrong for a dollar?
At another yard sale, I picked up this metal wall art that was priced at $10, but I offered $7 and it was accepted:

More thrifting
On another thrift stop, I found this small lamp for $4.98:

And I found this little table for $34:

As well as this petite chair marked down to $3.98:

I love me a little cutie pie chair, especially that cheap!

And on another stop, I found this tray marked down to $2.98 from $4.98:

Now that’s my kind of deal!
The Yard Sale that Saved the Day
Then, a couple of weeks ago, I set out for a morning of yard saling and it started out as a big, fat bust…but ONE yard sale saved the day!
I found this cute cabinet for $10:

And another little chair for $10 also:

This mirror, also for $10:

And then….drumroll, please…………………
This stunner!

They were asking $50, and I was looking at it, just trying to assess the damage that would need to be repaired, and the lady told me to make her an offer. So, I offered $40, and she accepted!!
But do you know the best part??
Now that I have my new minivan, I didn’t even have to hesitate saying yes because I knew this HUGE piece would fit! I never would have been able to bring a piece of this size home in my Grand Cherokee!
I was grinning the whole way home!
I found a couple of gold framed items at a thrift store not long after…
This picture with the gorgeous frame for only $2.99:

And this one that was a bit larger for $5.99:

I also got this one that was just the frame for I believe, $1.99:

I don’t believe this one was found on the same stop, but I got this framed print for $3.99:

And I could not find a price on this mirror anywhere, but I think I paid $6.99 for it:

I happened upon another estate sale that was on its last day where everything left was half off and found this box:

It was half of $12.
A lucky thrift store stop
Then a couple of Fridays ago, I did a FB live to share some things I found at the thrift store that day.
I was so excited at one of the deals that I wanted to share right then!
I found this flat basket for $3.99:

I also found this wooden thingy with handles on either end for $4.99:

I couldn’t leave the store without this end table that was a hot mess, but also so pretty!

For $6.99, I knew it was worth repurposing somehow!
Then I found this lamp for $8.99:

I also found this little box for $4.99:

This wire basket was $3.99:

And the deal of the day goes to….
This child’s table and chairs that I STOLE for $4.49!

Can you even believe that? Only the table was on the floor with a sign that read, “Ask about my chairs.” It was marked $9.99. (Apparently, it has become a hazard to display chairs on the floor?)
When the guy brought out the chairs from the back, they were in great shape!
AND, all blue tags were 50% off that day, so I got if for half price!!
I was so excited!! I have already redone a set just like this HERE.
Although I had some great pieces, I felt like I was lacking furniture…maybe a dresser or two? I rarely have a haul without one.
So, I hit the thrift stores last week.
I was trying to only look for furniture, but I did find this lamp for half off of $6.99:

Love that it has its fancy finial!
As well as this larger lamp that was $8.99:

Lamps are good sellers for me, so I’m always on the hunt, and I love the extra light they add to my booth!
I also found this basket for $4.99:

Y’all know how much I love a large, ugly basket!
And I found this small tray for $3.99:

I also picked up this very large tray for $4.99:

And I did come across this GORGEOUS piece:

For…wait for it….

You’re seeing that right…$24.98!!
I DID NOT buy this piece, however. It is so beautiful as is and needs no rescuing from me. I hope someone came along that will enjoy it just as it is.
Y’all know I prefer the trashy pieces!
But, after leaving that lovely piece behind, I did not find anymore furniture.
So, I decided on one more day of yard saling to see if I got lucky!
This past weekend, I did find a few things!
I found this small game table, much like this one that swivels and opens that I redid (that already sold!).
This smaller one was only $10:

I also found this small tote for $3:

I don’t know why I love these totes so much, but I just do!
I also found this picture with the pretty frame for $5:

I’m always after pretty frames!
This table is a bit sad but for only $5, I was happy to take it on and give it another chance:

And then, I came upon a yard sale with a ton of beautiful furniture!
But, it was all more than I wanted to spend. She did have this stunning mirror for sale for $25:

I offered $20, and after a long pause, she accepted. I did not include it in this haul though because I don’t have a piece wide enough to match it to. I do look forward to this one though!
And finally, the ugly duckling of the bunch! At that same yard sale, the lady had this bookcase lined with shoes for sale:

I always love a little bookcase, so I asked if it was for sale. Again, she hesitated.
I don’t know if she just didn’t intend to sell it or if she was wondering what on earth I saw in it lol. But finally, she said, “Sure, how about $10?” Sold!
And that is my insanely huge haul!

It should keep me busy for a while!
*Important Shop News*
A few of you have messaged me to let me know that you are unable to see any items when you click on a section in my Etsy shop.
I have spoken with Etsy support and this is an issue that is happening in the Etsy app on IOS devices only. They are working to resolve the issue.
In the meantime, you can use the search box in my shop where it says “Search all 709 items” to type in the items you would like to view (i.e. transfers, moulds, etc.):
And all of those items will come up just as if you had clicked on that section.
I hope that helps!! Hopefully, they will have it resolved soon!
This unfortunately painted bookcase will be my Furniture Fixer Upper project for Thursday!

Y’all, it turned out SO cute!
I hope you’ll join us on Thursday, so you can see what all of us did with our fixer uppers!
UPDATE: See how cute this bookcase looks now HERE!

Don’t you just love it when you find great items at great prices? It’s such a dopamine rush lol. I once found an Anushka purse that looked brand new for $2. They’re not my style so I sold it on Poshmark for $100, which was a fairly low price comparatively. I’m really looking forward to seeing these Christy-fied!
Christy says
Yes!! It really is! WOW what a find and awesome that you were able to turn it into great $$! I have already dived in and looking forward to the rest! XOXO
Vicki says
Wow! You really have some great finds. I don’t know where you live, I am in Orange County, California our thrift stores have decided they are high end and everything is way over priced [but shouldn’t be}this is a new thing and has made it very hard to repurpose . You are very lucky!
Christy says
Thank you, Vicki! Some of our stores are insane now too, so I avoid those and head to the few that are still reasonable. That’s also why I did a lot of yard saling this time. It’s all about who’s holding that pricing gun in the back ha ha! XOXO
Michele M. says
WOWZA!!!!! You are going to be BUSY, girlfriend. Whoo hoo what great finds and prices. I am so excited for you – ha – for ALL of us lucky enough to read your blog regularly and see the miracles with paint you perform

Holy cow! I really enjoyed seeing ALL of these and I can’t wait to see how they turn out (especially since I have several similar pieces and I often ask myself “what would Christy do with this?” 🙂 )
P.S. I can’t believe that huge cabinet fit in your vehicle! :O
Christy says
I’m so glad you enjoyed seeing them all! This will be so fun to work through! Yes, I was SO thrilled that I didn’t have to hesitate when buying that huge piece. All the seating behind the driver’s seat folds flat into the floor…it fit beautifully! XOXO
b says
What a fantastic haul! I’d leave a few things as is & just clean them up, but I know the wheels are turning & you have some awesome ideas for each piece. Can’t wait for the afters!
Christy says
Thank you, B! There are a few in there that don’t need much for sure! XOXO

You Are one busy lady. So much for us to look forward to !
Christy says
Thank you, P! This might be my biggest haul yet. It all lives in the garage with me where I work, so I have absolutely no more space ha ha! XOXO
Marcie Lovett says
I don’t know how you manage to find so much great stuff, Christy! I have to say that my favorites are the dollar table and tall basket – such great deals. I’m envious of that fantastic fabric find, can’t wait to see how they transform some of these fabulous pieces.

Cyndel says
I love your previews of coming attractions. My favorites on first scan are the china cabinet and the moldy heavy chest (actually, it’s the HARDWARE on the moldy heavy chest that I couldn’t stop staring at — so beautiful).
The Art Deco vanity brought back memories — my late Grandma had a very similar one, passed along from her mother-in-law, that had angled side mirrors flanking the round one. She never used it, but as a child I liked brushing my hair in surround-vision and pretending to apply lipstick, powder my nose, and spray on perfume with one of those atomizers attached to a long tube and rubber bulb.
Christy says
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing all the goodies to come, Cyndel! Yes, I will definitely be keeping that beautiful hardware! And I can totally picture a young girl pretending to be so grown in front of her grandmother’s vanity. I hope someone snatched that lovely piece up! XOXO
Josee says
You have truly found your calling. You are so good at this and you have an eye to make beautiful things while saving what has been done. I am grateful and in awe. God bless.
Christy says
Oh my goodness, Josee, you just made my day! Thank you! It is truly a joy for me to get to do this every day! XOXO
Mary Loveland says
Just a wonderful haul you lucky (hardworking) girl! I’m happy to hear the prices are coming down in your area. I’m in southern Arizona and the prices are insanely high so I just stopped going. You got SO many cute pieces I can’t wait to see the “afters”.
Christy says
Thank you, Mary! Yes, I am able to find some deals still although there are some stores I just don’t go to for that reason. It really is all about who is holding that pricing gun in the back! Hopefully, your stores will improve! XOXO
Cheryl B Acampora says
Christy Girl,
I can’t wait for you to work your magic on all these great pieces! I especially love the teapot and all the boxes! Get busy and don’t forget to breathe. LOL
Christy says
Thank you, Cheryl! Ha ha yes, breathing is important! XOXO

Christy, you promised and you delivered! Sometimes I think you and I shop at the same thrift shops! Some fantastic finds and great prices. I love the first 2 Louie-style chairs; look forward to seeing all your creative and beautiful saves and makeovers.

Christy says
Thank you, Janice! I just could not stop shopping ha ha! Those chairs were an absolute steal just waiting for me to come along and scoop them up! This will be a fun haul! XOXO
Abbe Kemack says
China cabinet, dresser, mirrors and lamps, Oh My!
