Happy Friday, creative friends!! I’m popping in today to share over 25 creative ideas for your projects!

TRANSFERS
Y’all know I love to create with transfers! Transfers allow me to create things I never could if I had to paint the designs myself!
Here are some creative ways to use transfers!
-
Dress up a boring frame
This frame was made so much prettier by adding this gorgeous Salon de Diane transfer:

Such a great way to update a frame, right? The frame was painted in a 50/50 mix of Vintage Duck Egg Blue and Cotton.
See more of this makeover HERE.
Or how about the frame of this mirror? A simple paint job and the addition of this pretty Spring Serenade transfer really brought it to life!

-
Dress up a plain lamp shade
This next project was a fun one…I totally reworked a lamp to make it smaller and then used this gorgeous Rare Birds transfer to dress up the shade:

I dress up shades all the time this way!
See that whole makeover and two more lamps HERE.
And here is one more!

I used the gorgeous Blossom Tweet transfer on this one.
See this lamp and one more HERE.
-
Dress up the back of a shelf
I love how this piece turned out! Adding a little something to the back of it really made it!

For this shelf I used a combination of two transfers, Vintage Script Mastery and Creamy Blush Blooms to dress it up. They are lovely over this subtle Driftwood color!
See the whole makeover HERE.
I did the same with this bookcase I scored for only $10 at a yard sale:

I used the Froggy Meadow Greens transfer over Farmhouse Green on this one to give it a much needed refresh!

-
Dress up from the ground up
This next piece is one of my favorites, maybe because it was only $5 and was a complete mess!

The Champs De Lavende Transfer is perfect with this custom purple I mixed using two Dixie Belle paints, and it is so interesting with the transfer seemingly growing from the bottom! Be creative in your placement!

Cut them apart and use any placement you like!
This desk was already painted white when I found and I thought it would be an easy redo! I thought wrong lol, but I love the outcome:

I used an old favorite, the Pretty in Blue transfer, to bring this one to life! The design on this one allowed me to be able to cut it apart and use the pieces exactly where I wanted, and these lovely blues are pefect over Dixie Belle’s brightest white, Cotton.

Add elegance
Next up is this crusty suitcase I picked up at the thrift store. This one needed all the love as well!

Using the Queen’s Glory transfer on this one gave it such an elegant look! A gold transfer like this would add an elegant touch to just about anything!

Use them on just about any surface
This enamel tea kettle was a hot mess to start and I was honestly surprised that someone even donated it. But I bought it, so there’s that ha ha.

It was brought to life with the Botanical Paradise transfer which has a bunch of floral stems you can arrange any way you like. Who knew this could turn out so cute!

A little goes a long way!
This floral beauty was such a simple redo thanks to the White Magnolia transfer:

I only used a tiny portion of the pieces of this one on this box! I’m loving how bright it remained over this Caviar black.

Or, use the whole thing!

A larger transfer like this Sunlit Serenade transfer can create a dramatic effect if used on a larger piece like this armoire.
I love the yellows over this tranquil Savannah Mist!
-
Frame them
Some transfers are even pretty enough to frame like this set of frames I turned into artwork not too long ago:

This is the Greenery Grace transfer and it made such pretty art! The frames were painted in Dixie Belle’s Gardenia.
See this redo HERE.
With over 250 transfers in my shop, there is surely one to fit your design!
Decoupage Papers
Decoupage paper has come a long way and there are several ways to use it.
-
Use it as a liner
I find the decoupage fiber very easy to handle and I love to use it as a lining.
The inside of this jewelry box was brought to life with this beautiful floral My Garden Whimsy decoupage paper:

The front and top were embellished with the Golden Serenade transfer.
See the whole makeover HERE.
I’ve been turning to decoupage paper more and more to line the interiors of my drawers like I did with this lingerie chest:

This is the Timeless Blooms paper. It pairs beautifully with Tea Rose from Dixie Belle.
And also this Salon de La Gloire paper that I paired here with Silk Bay Breeze:

I love the vivid colors!

-
Cover the outside too
This wooden tote threw me for a minute, but I finally came up with a plan!

Covering the outside with this Rosy Reverie decoupage paper did wonders! See the whole makeover HERE.
-
Pretty enough to Frame
Some papers are so pretty they can be used to used to turn outdated artwork into brand new decor like this one I redid recently:

This is the Retro Rose Ride decoupage paper from Redesign. So fun and this sold almost right away!
See how I framed this paper HERE.
-
Embellish the top
And even more recently, I shared this table that needed fixing on the top. The addition of this paper did the trick!

This is the Silent Beauty decoupage paper.
There are endless uses for these papers!
Decor Moulds
I’ve been using decor moulds for a while now and there is nothing like them to add a unique touch to your project!
-
Backplate for knobs
I shared this project above. I used the SOHO Fusion mould on either end as fancy backplates for my knobs (this one was highlighted in gray wax.):

That mould was made for that purpose and comes with several design options, but I use lots of others for that purpose also, like I did on this simple side table makeover:

This is the Lavish Swirls Mould and I used it on this piece also HERE! This adds such a unique detail to an otherwise plain piece.
See this makeover HERE.

Add an unexpected unique detail
I just used this Finley Mould to frame this whimsical Santa:

That was in combination with the Majestic Flourish Mould wich I altered just a bit. The Santa is from the Yuletide Nostalgia Middy transfer, and the box is painted in Barn Red, Fluff, and English Ivy and shaded with black wax.
The holiday moulds have been HOT HOT HOT this season!
I am seeing so many amazing ornaments and crafty things being made with them!
See all of those holiday moulds HERE.
I cast all of my mould pieces using Amazing Casting Resin.
Decor Poly Appliques
If you don’t want to cast your own embellishments uisng moulds, or if you need something a bit bigger, then Decor Poly is for you!
They are as easy as painting and gluing to your project!
I used one on the drawer of this desk I shared earlier:

This Luxe Ornamenta Decor Poly applique was the perfect addition to the drawer! ( I highlighted with silver Gilding Wax.)
I used this Elaborate Finery Decor Poly on this armoire I also shared earlier:

It looks like it had always been a part of this antique peice!
These pieces are so detailed!
I also used them to bring life to the drawers of this dresser:

I used the Intricate Grace Decor Poly in this dresser and they come in a pack of two. I also used the Perfume Notes transfer on this piece.
See this whole makeover HERE.
Stencils
I don’t use stencils as often as I used to because there are so many more things to create with these days, but they can still enhance your project beautifully!
-
Traditional Mylar Stencils
This Elegant Lace stencil really brought this box to life:

I chose French Linen from Dixie Belle as the backdrop on this one.
See the whole makeover HERE.
-
Silkscreen Stencils
When I do use stencils, these are my favorite and are SO easy to use!
I used the Roses silkscreen stencil from the Belles and Whistles line to add this gorgeous detail to the sides of the drawers on this dresser:

I used another portion of this same stencil to add the embellishment across the front to this bench:

This bench was sanded and stained in white Voodoo Gel Stain.

I love see all your inspiration for the transfers! Of course my favorite of this bunch is the tea pot that I still have and Love! It is still on my dining room table and I enjoy seeing it every day. I haven’t put out Chistmas stuff yet, so it stays up here until Christmas and then after Christmas it comes back up onto my table!
Christy says
Thank you, Mary! I am SO glad that you have that sweet piece…still one of my favorites! XOXO
