Hello, beautiful friends! It’s time once again for an antique mall booth tour where I take you to my booth to see what has come and gone since we last visited. If you are new here, I have had my booth at the Virginia Beach Antique Mall here in Virginia Beach since 2014. I started with two spaces and just sold furniture and decor.
In 2019, I became a Dixie Belle Retailer. Then, in 2020, I decided to expand my inventory to become an Elite Dixie Belle Retailer, and it has continued to grow ever since, with the addition of Redesign with Prima products. I carry everything Dixie Belle and just about everything available from Redesign as well both here in my booth and online in my Etsy Shop.
I started with just two spaces along the back wall, and I now occupy the entire room! It’s literally like having my own little shop!
Let’s get started with today’s antique mall booth tour!
I always share my booth by talking about all the larger pieces that have come and gone. You’ll notice that although my space is in an antique mall, my items are mostly refurbished and updated pieces. It works so nicely since my blog feeds my booth, and redoing items for my booth feeds my blog.
Here’s where we last left off
Here is what you saw as you entered my booth when I last shared it back in March:
If you look towards the back wall, I had also just brought this gorgeous antique dresser in:
Both the large white dresser at the front and this tea rose antique dresser sold not long after I shared my last booth tour, and I came in to find this:
While I do already know to expect this since I can see what has sold in real time any time I like, it is always still surprising.
And the back wall…
I had sold the small matching tea rose table as well and this Sea Glass mirror that was hanging next to the dresser also.
Luckily, I had just finished this lovely vintage gentlemen’s chest, so I brought that in to fill the space up front:
And as you can see, I moved the black secretary to the back wall once again:
A view from the door:
That blue chest sold almost right away, and in came the Gardenia Armoire:
And to the right, just as you come in the door, is my fireplace wall that looked like this last time:
It included this pretty console table:
That sold, so I brought in this convertible game table:
That pressback chair, the candlesticks, and the tray ended up selling soon after.
If you jump across to the other side, just as you come in the door, this Antebellum Blue Cabinet was just to the left as you came in the last time we visited:
I had originally completed that estate sale mirror to match another piece long ago, but that piece sold without the mirror. It had been hanging around my booth for forever, so I was happy to pair it with this cabinet. Then, the mirror sold without the cabinet and two days later, someone had come back to buy both pieces, but the mirror was gone! They still bought the cabinet though.
And then I moved a couple of things around and brought this sweet little table to this area:
I had painted a mirror to match it, but you may remember last time that the mirror sold separately.
That sweet table sold and I added some wall pieces I redid and rearranged a bit:
Everything but the mirrors and the table has since sold.
The big transfer wall reset
To the right of that area, on the left wall of my space, is where my transfers live, and since I took over that final space in this room early last year, not much had changed:
UNTIL NOW!
Here is what it has looked like forever…
I have four wall grids hanging, and they’re divided into four sections like this:
Now y’all may not care about all this detail, but I’m gonna share anyway mkay?
- Section one was small transfers, all laid out beautifully so you could see nearly every design.
- Section two was all my mid-sized transfers including H2O transfers, Middy Redesign transfers, knob transfers, and Belles and Whistles Mid transfers. And they were all CRAMMED together on one grid. ( I didn’t have nearly as many when I set this wall up.)
- Section three was all my Maxi Redesign transfers
- Section four was all my Large transfers that were not in tubes. (All large transfers are now being packed in flat packaging.) They were all squished together on there and on the free standing display I had in the previous photo.
I have been wanting to reset this wall for forever, and I finally did it this month!
I took every singe transfer down and started fresh, moving all the small transfers to this grid fixture on the floor:
Then, I was able to spread out the mid sized transfers on the wall!
The first grid houses H2O transfers, and the rest of the mid-sized transfers are spread across the next two grids. Now you can see them all!
Then, I was able to give the entire fourth grid to the maxis which you can see in the background here:
This whole area is so much easier to shop how!
Moving the Moulds
And you may have noticed the new mould tower. The moulds used to live on the wall beyond the transfers and looked like this:
That worked great for a time, but some were too high to reach, and I had several designs on top of one another. Plus, I needed that wall space, so they were moved to this floor fixture instead:
They are so much easier to shop now, and they have already been selling better!
I made a new, smaller sign for the top also out of a Hobby Lobby tray and my Silhouette:
What about the large transfers, you ask??
I’m so glad you asked! They now live above the large tube transfers!
WHERE THEY BELONG! All the large transfers are now in one place, and customers can easily see them all on display. These have also sold better since the move.
That’s my big transfer wall reset, and it has made such a difference!
Okay, Back to the booth tour!
In between those two walls of transfers was this area when last we visited:
That is where that pretty yellow floral table lived before I moved it to that space up front.
I ended up bringing in this console table that I redid similarly to the navy table that sold, and put it in the same place up front:
As you can see, I also moved the nesting tables over here as well.
And the convertible game table that had been up front here got moved to this spot where the nesting tables had been:
I still have this lamp…it’s so pretty!
That is how it still looks now.

Beyond that is my decoupage paper display that hasn’t changed:
These are really packed on here too, so I’m already thinking of ways to make this easier to shop.
The next thing to come in was this armoire that had been pulling garage duty for the last decade:
And the black secretary desk was once again moved to the back, left corner:
That gold and black night table sold and then so did the armoire! I don’t think it lasted a week!
In its place came this Antique Empire dresser I painted in Apothecary:
As well as the shelf above it made from Hobby Lobby art:
And then guess what finally sold??
The black secretary desk!! I just loved that piece and had no idea why it had taken so long to sell.
Next came in this cutie pie vintage telephone table:
I soon added this Caviar Hutch as well:
That black and white suitcase just sold this week. (Once the dusty, crusty suitcase!)
And this is currently the back wall:
The back right corner was looking like this when we last stopped by:
Lots of smaller things have come and gone, but this area hasn’t changed too much.
The shelf sold and the metal wall hanger thingy, and in came this beach print that got a fresh coat of paint on the frame, and also the seahorse lamp:
The lamp sold pretty quickly as did the beach art. And also that picnic basket! That used to live on top of my paint wall, so it has been with me a long time!
I then brought in the tea rose hatbox I redid not too long ago:
And it sold almost right away as well!
I need some more smalls to fluff up this corner, and it could probably use a reset as well.
And to the right of that is my paint wall:
And back to the front looking back…
That area to the right in the center there could use a refresh too.
It looked like this last time:
And hasn’t changed much…
I feel like people tend to shop the perimeter and this display gets skipped. Maybe I need a spotlight on it because it’s a bit dark here as well.
And back to the front!
I displayed this cabinet with the doors open at different times so you could see the pretty interior, but I kept coming in to find the furniture moved so they could test closing the doors.
So it currently looks like this…
Still a lovely piece that will brighten up any space!
And you know I have to share my paint wall:
I’ve got every color available!
This little drop leaf table has been here for a bit, but I like that I can use it with just about anything to stage.
And how about this cutie I recently shared?
She sold quickly, and I miss her already!
I saved one side of my small transfer tower for new releases, and it worked out perfectly!

WoW! what a great looking space you’ve created. It’s amazing how just moving things around get more attention and off they go to a new home. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone and how many booth tours we’ve seen. It’s always fun to see what the new look will reveal. I found you on line on a rainy day in the mountains of GA while taking a break from the heat and I think it was around 2020. I know I’m going to see it in person one day….hopefully soon.

I love that you enjoy the booth tours, Janet! It is fun for me to share and I like being able to look back through these posts as well. I usually would have Jack helping me, but he was working. Brennan wouldn’t have been nearly as helpful, although he would have kept me entertained lol, so it was just me. I got it done though! XOXO

QUESTION: does your mall offer help with moving big furniture purchases to the customer ? Please explain. I’m in a mall with aging vendors that can’t help and now I’m out of pocket for a few months due to surgery. So I’m worried about how to keep momentum going with the sale of future big pieces.

Thank you so much, Tanya! Yes, I struggled with my tiny space for a long time when I had four other vendors in that space, so I am so blessed to have it all now. The antique mall where I have my booth does all the heavy lifting, luckily. Our mall is huge, so there are lots of staff working who can help. I wish I had a suggestion for you…maybe have signage that lets customers know they will be responsible for moving heavy items themselves temporarily? Wishing you the best of luck while you navigate that! XOXO

Love the booth and all the supplies. I’m tempted to drive over there to see it in person but I know it would spell serious trouble for me, so I better stick to online shopping. AND, speaking of online shopping, I just purchased your “Noel Elegance” mould. The example of the gold reindeer and Christmas’s tree behind “glass” featured on the product ideal made me fall in love with that mould but I’m a little confused how to pull it off. It would be epically appreciated if you could make a tutorial showing how to do it? Pleeease???!!
